Scheid Baby #3- Pregnancy Update!

It has been a while. I promised myself I would not let this blog get behind and here I've done it. We've been in survival mode. It all started when I got really sick with this pregnancy. We found out we were pregnant in January. Sam was busy getting ready for a deployment. He was gone here and there for short trainings and then for about a month long training. During that month long training I was in the REALLY sick stage. I was alone and all I did was stay a float. In March I took the kids to the states by myself and in April Sam met us in Utah. We were able to spend a couple of weeks together and then we said our goodbyes as he was heading off to Afghanistan. I got a little bit of energy and motivation and I ended up traveling back to Germany with the kiddos. I wanted to see him one last time and, honestly, I missed Germany! We got 5 or so extra days with Sam. It turned out our trip was meant to be- we found out we would be moving our household back to the states and regardless of when, I would've had to go back either way. So, I felt extremely blessed that we got there in time to see Sam off.

And then comes the serious stuff- Sam LEFT us! Again! So, I am a single mom, living with my amazing parents, missing my husband and I don't function normally. I am so lucky to have the help of many loved ones, especially my parents! Londyn and Trip have not been on a good sleep schedule since we moved back to the states. I am with them 24/7 and usually once they go to bed I have a few necessary tasks to do and then I am too tired to do anything extra. And, well, blogging is definitely an extra! So, here's to catching up a bit on this blog, especially because we are SO excited to meet our little guy and it will be happening soon. I figured I should get a few blog posts under my belt before my life gets even crazier!

Enjoy this collage of the pregnancy. The 4 and 5 week photos are when the baby was the size of a poppy seed and sesame seed. You can barely see the tiny seeds! We can't wait to meet our little Harvey! Trip keeps saying, "Is your baby down? Is your baby down?" I am not sure where he came up with the terminology, or what it means exactly, but it is pretty funny. Londyn wants to feed him with a bottle and wrap him in her pink panda blanky. She said she would have liked to hold the baby for me if it was going to be a girl, but since he's not… I guess I am out of luck on that one.

I am 37 weeks today and the photo below was taken two days ago. Another really nice bathroom selfie. This photo is for everyone who keeps telling me how small I am!! That belly is huge! It is 6AM and I have been having contractions for the past few hours. This has already happened 4 or 5 times and so I probably won't actually go into labor, but I definitely can't sleep. So, I figured I might as well get this post up.
